At Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals met for match number 11 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. DC captain David Warner won the toss and asked Sanju Samson’s team to bat first. Warner also revealed that all-rounder Mitchell Marsh would be absent due to his return home to Australia.
In his first two matches for the Capitals, Marsh failed to make an impact for his team as he failed to score a goal in either match. But that is not why he’s not playing against Rajasthan Royals – Marsh has returned home to Australia for marriage and will be available again after one week for the Capitals.
“We don’t know what will happen tonight. Hopefully, we can start off well,” Warner said at the toss.
“Marsh has gone home to get married – all our best wishes to him. There’s one forced change with Powell coming in place of Marsh and other changes too – Lalit replacing Sarfraz and Manish Pandey joining Manish,” Warner concluded by noting that Marsh had left to get married.
