When Breslin was three years old, she made her acting debut in a Toys “R” Us commercial. M. Night Shyamalan’s 2002 film Signs included Bo Hess, the protagonist Graham Hess’s daughter, in her debut performance (Mel Gibson). Signs received mainly favourable reviews and was a movie office hit, taking in $408 million globally. Critics complimented Breslin’s performance in the movie.
