Alex Paulsen made a series of vital saves to help his Wellington Phoenix reach the FFA Cup semi-finals on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper made the difference in a penalty shootout victory over Melbourne City. With the win, the Phoenix will play Melbourne Victory in the semi-finals.

It was a historic first for the club, and they will be looking to advance for the second time in history. They are only two wins away from silverware, but they have not won a major trophy in almost two decades.

It was also a big moment for New Zealand. The country won the OFC Under 16 Championship in August, and now they are a step closer to competing at the FIFA U-17 World Cup next year. Their coach Jose Figueira is elated. He said he had been watching the game closely.

Videos posted to social media show Costa collapsing twice before falling off the stage during his performance at Ultra South Africa festival in Johannesburg.
