Dandrea Martin Die – A Felon With a Warrant For a Domestic Violence Charge
On July 24, 2007, Dandrea Martin was shot and killed in her home in the small town of Woodville, Virginia. As news of her death began to circulate, the community was thrown into mourning. The police had confirmed that Martin, a father of four, had been a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He also had an outstanding warrant for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

According to court records, Dandrae Martin has a history of criminal activity in Sacramento County. In addition to his felony convictions, Martin also served time in Arizona prison.
After his release, Martin went on a shooting spree, according to authorities. Prosecutors allege that Martin boasted about shooting rival gang members.
His brother, Smiley Martin, was injured in the shooting. Martin was also hospitalized and faced charges of possession of a machine gun and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Authorities believe that Martin is one of several shooters involved in the incident. They’re still investigating the incident. Police haven’t said whether they’re looking for any additional shooters.
Investigators are examining social media messages and call records. Police also searched several homes in the area and collected a total of 100 shell casings from the scene.

Dandrae Martin Die has an outstanding warrant for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in Riverside County. In October, a $5,000 bench warrant was issued for Martin.
After a court hearing, Martin was sentenced to 30 days in custody and 36 months on probation. However, the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Martin violated his probation, and now has an outstanding warrant for a misdemeanor.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, Martin was arrested on Monday and booked on assault charges and a firearm charge. He is being held without bail in the Sacramento County Jail.
Authorities have not said whether the charges will be related to the shooting, which took place Sunday morning. The case involves many witnesses, as well as significant physical evidence.
Martin’s criminal history includes a felony assault charge from 2016 and a conviction for possessing a loaded firearm. While he hasn’t been charged with homicide, investigators have collected over 100 shell casings.

The identity of the second man is currently withheld until next-of-kin notification.

Southeast DC: Police are asking the public for help in finding a car that they suspect is link to Monday’s shooting at a DC high school, which left a teenager with serious injuries.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred in the 2200 block 14th Street at 2:15 p.m. close to DC Prep Anacostia Elementary campus.
Officers arrived to find a 13-year old boy shot. He was breathing and conscious when officers arrived at the scene. MPD reports that the boy treated for his injuries and will likely survive.
Police released Monday night a photo of the car that they believed involved in the shooting. A surveillance camera captured the gray/silver Hyundai and gave it the license plate 9DJ0820. MPD offers an update following a deadly double shooting in Southeast D.C. on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Police said that a third man in the vehicle with the two victims and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the incident began with two cars shooting at one another.
“It’s personal to me tonight, just as it was in the past. Tasha Bryant, MPD First District Commander, stated that any loss of life, as I have said on numerous occasions, is one too many. “Tonight, it is a tragedy. My heart is broken that we are here again discussing gun violence.”
