Boston Dynamics joined other robotics companies in an open letter last month condemning the use of robotics for weaponization. In part, the letter mentions:
We feel that weapons being add to robots that can be remotely or autonomously controlled, easily accessible to the public and capable of navigation to previously inaccessible places where people live and work raises serious ethical and safety concerns.
The enormous benefits these robots promise to bring society will be undermined if they are used for weapons.
Boston Dynamics seeks unspecified damages in the suit.
