In the lengthy statement, he also informed his fans that his daughter’s name is Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran. Ed Sheeran recently disclosed lyra’s godfather’s name.

Ed Sheeran confirmed that Courteney Cox’s partner Johnny McDaid is the godfather of his daughter Lyra in an interview with The Hits Radio Breakfast Show.
He went on to say that nine years ago, he was the one who introduced Courteney and David. Courteney had asked Ed to her place once, and he continued ‘going round’. He took David to Cox’s place the following time, and he did not return home the next day.

The singer also discussed Lyra’s middle name, Antarctica, saying that he and his wife wanted in her name. He also admitted that it has a reputation for being a “strange” name.
He went on to say that the name is less about “where she was manufactured” and more about having “a link.” Sheeran also quipped that his kid would think of this interview as ‘eww’ when she sees it in the future.

To herald the arrival of his munchkin, the Shape Of You singer headed to Instagram and posted a snapshot of a pair of tiny socks. “Ello!” he said in the caption of the photo.
