Next month, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will return to the United Kingdom for a series of charity engagements, which opens the door to the possibility that they will meet with other members of the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationship with other members of the royal family, especially Prince William and Kate Middleton, has deteriorated over the past few years.

By the time Harry and Meghan arrive in the UK in the first week of September, Kate and William will have settled into Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, bringing them within walking distance of Her Majesty the Queen’s Frogmore Cottage.

A source tells PEOPLE there are “no present plans” for the couples to meet, therefore they won’t.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also be present, and they will be within close proximity to the monarch. Harry’s 96-year-old grandmother will likely return to England to say goodbye to Prime Minister Boris Johnson (and his incoming successor). As the head of state, she will likely also have to approve the incoming government’s Cabinet ministerial nominations.

An insider at the royal court told PEOPLE, “There are a lot of moving elements in the diary for the Queen that week.”

No word on whether the seminars will be at Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace.

The couple may arrive early to see the Queen in Scotland before their other trips. Meghan and Harry will attend the One Young World Summit in Manchester and the “One Year to Go” Invictus Games celebration in Berlin before returning to the UK for the Well Child Awards.

Harry and Meghan didn’t meet William and Kate or Harry’s relatives during their June visit. Prince Charles saw his 3-year-old grandson Archie and 1-year-old granddaughter Lilibet privately, according to PEOPLE.

“This trip was a total blast. “The Prince was pleased to see his grandchild and meet his granddaughter for the first time,” a royal insider said.

During their time at Frogmore Cottage, Lilibet celebrated her first birthday. Additionally, they introduced Lili to her great-grandmother, the Queen of England. Since the Queen’s childhood nickname was “Lilibet,” the name “Li” is a tribute to the monarchy.

The release of Prince Harry’s memoir later this year is also causing some unease in the royal family. Meghan and Harry are writing a book about their lives after an explosive Oprah appearance last year. It will cover Harry’s childhood, military service in Afghanistan, marriage to Meghan, and parenting of Archie and Lilibet.
