The Body of Meghan Marohn, a Woman reported Missing Months Ago, Has Been Found
Meghan Marohn The District Attorney in Madison County has announced that a body has been found in the wooded area of Fox Drive and Church Street. In addition, the autopsy performed on the remains shows that they are related to Meghan Marohn, a woman who was reported missing months ago. As a result, the brother who has been charged with her disappearance will not face charges, according to police officials.

On Monday, March 27, Meghan Marohn’s brother, Peter, reported that he had not heard from her since the previous day. After receiving no response to his phone calls, he filed a missing person’s report.
The family of the Missing Person reports that Mahron, a 42-year-old English teacher, went hiking in the Stockbridge area of Massachusetts on Sunday, March 27.
She did not return home that evening but had checked into a Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts on March 24. However, Meghan did not check out on March 30, as she planned to.
Meghan had left her home in Delmar, New York, on March 23 and was on a hiking trip in the Stockbridge area of Massachusetts. Her car was found parked on Church Street at Longcope Park in Lee, Massachusetts on March 29.
According to investigators, the body of a woman was discovered in a heavily wooded area near Fox Drive in Lee, Massachusetts. Evidence indicates that the remains are those of the missing woman.

If you have been following the story of Meghan Marohn, you may have heard that her body was discovered in the Berkshires earlier this week.
According to authorities, the remains of the 42-year-old were found in a wooded area near Fox Drive in Lee. The remains were identified as those of the missing woman.
Investigators canvassed the area on Friday. Authorities responded with several law enforcement units, including a MSP Air Wing helicopter and the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office. Several K9 teams also searched the area.
A local resident notified authorities that he had found human remains in the woods near Fox Drive. The area is roughly a mile and a third from the location where Marohn’s car was found.
The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for positive identification. This will allow investigators to determine what happened to Marohn.
According to the CBS affiliate in Albany, New York, Marohn was known to hike alone. When she went missing, it was reported that she had not been seen or heard from for several days. She was on leave from the schools in North Colonie

Southeast DC: Police are asking the public for help in finding a car that they suspect is link to Monday’s shooting at a DC high school, which left a teenager with serious injuries.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred in the 2200 block 14th Street at 2:15 p.m. close to DC Prep Anacostia Elementary campus.
Officers arrived to find a 13-year old boy shot. He was breathing and conscious when officers arrived at the scene. MPD reports that the boy treated for his injuries and will likely survive.
Police released Monday night a photo of the car that they believed involved in the shooting. A surveillance camera captured the gray/silver Hyundai and gave it the license plate 9DJ0820. MPD offers an update following a deadly double shooting in Southeast D.C. on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Police said that a third man in the vehicle with the two victims and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the incident began with two cars shooting at one another.
“It’s personal to me tonight, just as it was in the past. Tasha Bryant, MPD First District Commander, stated that any loss of life, as I have said on numerous occasions, is one too many. “Tonight, it is a tragedy. My heart is broken that we are here again discussing gun violence.”
