Mimi Chakraborty remembers her Mahalaya reminiscences

Bengalis have fun Shubho Mahalaya with a lot fervour and zeal. Bengali actress Mimi Chakraborty lately spoke to a web based portal as she recounted her reminiscences of celebrating Mahalaya in her native land.

Mimi stated that during her native land Jalpaiguri, folks used to stand up early within the morning and pay attention to Birendra Krishna Bhadra’s chant at the radio. She says that the mornings had a special which means to it for one and a part hour and as a ritual, even the firecrackers would move off because it used to be their method to urge Maa Durga to descend on earth with mere mortals.
