What happened to Morgan’s dad on 9/11?

Morgan was five months old when Lisa was pregnant with Morgan. Her husband died in the terrorist attacks on United Flight 93. The plane crashed into a Pennsylvania field after he attempted to defeat his hijackers.

Todd, Morgan’s father was influential in leading United Flight 93 passengers to fight the hijackers for control.

The plane plummeted to the ground instead of hitting its target.

Tragically, however all aboard the ship died. Todd, Morgan’s father was a rising star in the software company Oracle. He was able to keep his family financially stable.

Todd was on United Flight 93 from Newark New Jersey to go on a business trip. He arrived in San Francisco at 7:30 AM. The father of two was planning to celebrate the tenth year of their first date when he returned home.

After hijackers overtook the plane, Mr. Beamer saw his dead copilot lying in the aisle next to the cockpit. His throat was cut. Next, the father-of-two reached for his phone from the back of the plane and attempted to call his wife but couldn’t get through.

Instead, Todd got a G.T.E. Instead, Todd called a G.T.E. operator. He told her what was going on and she connected him to F.B.I. agents. The phone was left connected for 15 minutes, while several Oracle employees organized to take out the terrorists.

Todd and the other passengers were in contact with others via cell phones and in-plane communication. Two planes had destroyed the World Trade Center, which was something they knew. Morgan’s father ordered the flight attendants to boil water and make any weapon. The GTE operator told Morgan’s dad to call his children and wife and tell them how much he loved them.

Morgan’s father led the attack against the hijackers

Just as he was about to stop the hijackers, Lisa’s husband cried, “Let’s roll!” Beamer led the other passengers into the cockpit using the beverage cart to get through the door.

After a brawl, the plane was crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pa., rather than a Washington, D.C. landmark, killing all 44 people aboard. The plane was bound for San Francisco when it left Newark.

It was the only airline that did not take any lives on the ground on September 11. Later, authorities reported that the hijackers were steering it towards Washington.
