According to recent updates, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) currently leads in 48 seats while Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) trails with 22. Among AAP candidates who were trailing are Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia who both conceded defeat graciously; Sisodia extended congratulations and offered thanksgiving wishes for winning candidate from Bharatiya Janata Party instead.

Manish Sisodia’s chances in Jangpura Assembly seat appear bleak after one round of counting has concluded – as Tarvinder Singh Marwah from BJP leads by over 500 votes with only one more to go in his campaign against Manish Sisodia who recently relocated there from Patparganj.

Sisodia acknowledged his loss at Jangpura Assembly seat during a media interaction, while also offering hope that Tarvinder Singh Marwah, likely to win Jangpura by winning it from him, would respond effectively to residents.

Sisodia provided no further explanation when asked by reporters as to the reasons behind his loss; rather he stated he would review results before drawing any definitive conclusions.

“Our party members fought valiantly. Despite putting in effort and garnering public support, I lost by only 600 votes. However, I extend my congratulations and trust that whoever wins will serve their constituency well,” Sisodia commented on behalf of his party members.

Arvinder Singh, son of Marwah, expressed thanks to all BJP workers for contributing to Jangpura’s victory and thanked voters from Jangpura and Delhi who chose his party over Manish Sisodia’s.

Sisodia earned praise during his first term for making significant improvements to government schools; however, during the second term there were difficulties; including his arrest on corruption charges related to Delhi’s liquor policy – charges which have since been lifted by court ruling.

After relinquishing his post as Deputy Chief Minister and relinquishing other responsibilities, Sisodia spent approximately 18 months in custody before being granted bail by the Supreme Court.

Arvind Kejriwal remains in an intense contest with Parvesh Verma of BJP for New Delhi Assembly election, who are poised for battle over who should represent them on April 15.

After 11 rounds of counting, Verma currently leads with 3000 more votes tallied than her opponent with two remaining rounds to be counted.

Verma expressed his appreciation of Delhi residents’ trust placed in his party, yet refrained from making any statements on his potential candidacy for Chief Minister of Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal has represented New Delhi since defeating then Congress Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and her Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). This victory marked AAP’s decade-long governance of Delhi.

Kejriwal has not responded to recent developments.

As election night draws to a close in Delhi, it appears the AAP has come up short in their attempt to capture another victory. They trail with 22 seats while updated results indicate the BJP leading 48 out of 70 Assembly seats in this capital city.
