Vijay Deverakonda gets trolled for his opinion on politics and dictatorship

In the times of social media, it’s impossible to hide anything or to even keep anything away from the world that has been done in the past. Recently an online portal posted a deleted chunk of an interview with Vijay Deverakonda and the interview has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.

In the interview Vijay Deverakonda shares his views on politics and how he thinks everyone shouldn’t be allowed to vote. According to his views in this old interview, he thinks that the power of vote should be given to the masses who really have something on stake with the elections and not the rich people who remain unaffected with it. He draws up example that how air passengers don’t get to decide who flies the plane and heads their journey, as there is a certain system and organization to make those decisions. Similarly he believes voting power shouldn’t be given everyone but only to those who have something at stake. “Why we’re having money and cheap liquor swing a vote, is ridiculous. I’m not saying that rich people should vote. I don’t even think rich people should vote. I think the middle class, who have the most at stake, people who are educated and won’t get swung by little money…I don’t even think everyone should be allowed to vote because they don’t know who they’re voting for and why they’re voting for,” these are the excerpts from his interview where Deverakonda made the statement.

He further even added by saying that he dictatorship is something he believes in. “I would like to be a dictator if at all. I think that’s the way to go. That’s the way you can make a change. ‘Just shut up…I’m having good intentions’ I think somewhere dictatorship is the way to go but you need to have a good guy,” said the actor in the interview which further received flak on social media. Several netizens have shared the video and have trolled him for saying such insensitive things about politics. Looks like the South actor got to deal with some social media flak for his past comments.
