Zoe Emily Winkler was born September 30th 1980 in Los Angeles, California to Henry Winkler (an iconic American comedian, actor, author and filmmaker) and Stacey Weitzman (an actress and producer). She also has an older brother Max Winkler (another director and writer) as well as stepbrother Jed Weitzman from her mother’s previous marriage with Howard Weitzman (an entertainment lawyer).
Zoe grew up in Brentwood, California in a conservative Jewish household with strict rules and no freedom of choice for her. However, she enjoyed an intimate relationship with both of her parents; often taking trips with him to movie sets to learn about the industry; as well as making friends like Jonah Hill who resided at their house and later became famous actor/comedian.
Zoe attended Loyola Marymount University in Wisconsin, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in education. Together they are raising three sons: Ace Reinis was born in 2010, while two younger ones who remain undisclosed are expected shortly.

In 2018, she co-founded This Is About Humanity – a non-profit that assists separated families at the U.S./Mexico border through legal resources, shelter, living essentials, awareness campaigns and partnerships – providing legal resources, shelter and living essentials to them all.
Zoe is one of the driving forces behind This Is About Humanity alongside co-founders Elsa Marie Collins and Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade. She travels regularly to the border to meet with families in need and provide aid, while using her platform and connections to spread the word and encourage others to join this cause. Zoe has gained support and recognition from celebrities like Jennifer Garner, Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman, etc.
