Timothy Frederick Lester was born on February 8, 1977, and an American football coach. Lester threw for 1,732 yards and 17 touchdowns with two actions before injury to a knee injury in the playoffs as a senior. He was afterward named second-team all-state by the Chicago Tribune. In two years as a starting quarterback, he completes 60 percent of his passes for 3,632 yards and 38 TDs with six actions. Before his injury, Lester considered a blue-chip possibility and planned to commit to Florida and head coach Steve Spurrier.

In addition, Lester coached at the prep level, serving as Offensive Coordinator at Saint Benedict High School in 2001 at his alma mater, Wheaton Warrenville South High School, in 2000.Â
Lester was a four-year starter at quarterback at Western Michigan from 1996 to 1999. He finishes his fourth in FBS history in passing yards 11,299, and sixth in touchdown passes 89. Lester set 17 school passing records and eight Mid-American Conference records. He was the MAC Freshman of the Year in 1996. A second-team all-conference honoree during his junior and senior seasons. Following his senior season, in which he threw for 3,639 yards and 34 touchdowns. Lester participates in the 1999 Blue-Gray Classic.Â
