Fans can now be happy, though, because the Wolfpack is back with a new season of the popular docu-drama show. Bill and Ami Brown haven’t always been the experts on the Alaskan wilderness that people love to watch on Alaskan Bush People. In fact, they grew up in a very different kind of weather. Bill, who is 65, and Ami, who is 52, are both from small towns in North Texas.

He lived his life on his own terms, without electricity or running water, and he taught us how to do the same.Adding, “We plan to carry on his dream and honour his legacy in the future.”

The family used to live near Hoonah, Alaska, or what the family called “Browntown.”Browntown was a group of houses that the family built using things they found in the Alaskan bush.
The Browns left Alaska because Ami, the family matriarch, was suddenly diagnosed with cancer.Since Browntown was gone, the family moved and bought a 435-acre property in the North Cascade Mountains of Washington State to be closer to Los Angeles, where Ami and Bill go every three months for her checkups.

She says, “We didn’t know exactly where we wanted to go, but we knew we weren’t where we wanted to be.” The future stars of the Discovery Channel reality show travelled around the “lower 48” states until 1983, when they sold their truck and Bill’s tools and bought tickets on a ship to Alaska with their first two sons, Matt, who was 3 at the time, and Joshua.
