Real-World Statistics about the Best Musical Theatre Colleges

How did we collect data for our study? These are the guidelines we followed:

1.Only Broadway musicals

We only collected college statistics for musicals. Since we are researching the top musical theatre programs, this allows us to make the strongest correlation. These data are based on the casts of 18 Broadway musicals, in a variety of styles.

2.Recent casting data 

To capture the most recent trends, his data is limited to musicals that were performed on Broadway in the five years 2016-2020.

3.Principals and Ensemble

Data can be separated by named characters (principals, featured and ensemble) and ensemble (which also includes swings or understudies). We collected college data for 348 Broadway actors, including 133 named characters as well as 215 ensemble members.
