The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on Tuesday released body camera footage of the shooting that left a 14-year-old girl dead and a suspect in custody. Authorities believe the stray bullet that struck the girl in the Burlington Coat Factory in North Hollywood was shot by an officer.

Los Angeles police were responding to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon when they arrived at the store. An employee called in reports of an erratic person who was accosting several shoppers.

A witness reported hearing gunshots, and an employee said a shopper who was near the scene of the attack heard her name being yelled over the radio. As chaos unfolded, the lead officer saw an injured woman near the suspect.

An 8-year-old girl was killed on the Southwest Side of Chicago. She had just finished a class at the Emiliano Zapata Academy when she was killed. Her family moved to the city from Mexico in the summer of 2016, and had lived in the area for a number of years. This was a particularly tumultuous time for the family.

A little bit of sleuthing revealed that the girl had been killed by a man dressed in all black who may or may not have been part of a gang of similar ilk.

The shooter’s name has been withheld but the Chicago Sun Times has obtained an internal report that outlines the details. The man is also alleged to have abducted a 15-year-old girl, but has not been found.

Brandon Craig charged with attempted murder

Earlier this year, a 21-year-old man from New Jersey was charged with attempted murder after a woman suffered an injury from a stray bullet from a nearby fight among carnival workers.

A teenager was also found shot inside an apartment complex. After the incident, detectives investigated the woman’s shooting and charged a suspect, Brandon Craig, with the attempted murder of her.

During the course of the investigation, another non-fatal shooting took place nearby, so a team of investigators was sent to the scene.

In the end, there was no physical proof of the shooter’s motive, but the detectives were satisfied that the case was solved and Craig was arrested.

However, after a search of his home, detectives were not able to find any of the evidence that led them to their conclusions. Several witnesses refused to speak with police for fear of reprisal, so they were not able to provide any information.

Sequoya’s mother pleading for someone to come forward

Onofri has since spoken out about what took place that night, and has expressed a desire for anyone who may have been involved in the incident to come forward. Roberts is charged with murder, aggravated assault, and gun violations. His wife and daughter also have been charged.

This is the first time a stray bullet has hit an adult during an altercation in Trenton, NJ. The incident occurred in the King’sbury Square area of the city.

A man and woman got into an argument, with the man opening fire on the women. At this point, Isiah Roberts opened up and fired his weapon, which hit Sequoya.
