Luke Combs Forever After All: “Forever After All” is Luke Combs, a country music singer from the United States.

It was released on October 23, 2020, as part of the deluxe edition of his second studio album, What You See Is What You Get.

The song set new streaming records for a country single on Apple Music and Spotify following its release.


The song debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, behind Ariana Grande’s “Positions,” and at number one on the Hot Country Songs chart for the week of November 7, 2020.

He also overtook Chris Gaines’ “Lost in You” (1999) as the top male country artist’s Hot 100 debut.

The first song Combs composed when he and his wife, Nicole, moved into their residence in Tennessee was “Forever After All.”

It was composed in January 2019 and co-authored by Rob Williford and Drew Parker, two of Combs’ longtime collaborators.


For Combs, this was advantageous because it was “easier to open up with folks you’ve written with a lot.”

Combs originally premiered the song on the video-sharing app TikTok on August 27, 2020.

He then posted a video on Instagram with some of its lyrics

He stated that they were “trying to keep off the radio for a long period and not play it.” It is a continuation of his songs “Beautiful Crazy” and “Better Together,” both dedicated to his wife, whom he married in August 2020.


“You could create a generic love song, and that’s not to suggest it couldn’t be done,” he said, “but the impact of my wife on my life has weighed strongly on the conclusion of these songs.”

Combs played the song, along with the rest of the tracks on the deluxe album, on Facebook Live on the day of its release, supported by a full band.

The MusiCares foundation benefited from the concert.

“Forever After All” broke the record for the most first-day streams for a country song on Apple Music, topping the platform’s global chart.


It also had a solo artist’s most first-day Spotify streams of any country song. The song debuted at #1 on the Hot Country Songs list and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Combs became the second artist to have six number-one singles from a single album, tying Luke Bryan for the most from an album, when “Forever After All” reached number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in June 5, 2021.
