Kiran Rao stood by Aamir Khan following his divorce from Reena Dutta
Kiran Rao: After Aamir Khan divorced his first wife Reena Dutta in 2002, the Bollywood superstar married Kiran Rao in 2005. Despite rumours that he was seeing someone else, Aamir stated that he and Kiran chose to separate for personal reasons.
Aamir Khan, who turned 57 on Monday, claimed his relationship with ex-wife Kiran Rao is unique, and the two continue to respect each other even after 15 years of marriage last year, which many people find difficult to understand.
Aamir, who married Kiran in 2005 after divorcing his first wife Reena Dutta in 2002, told News18 that their bond changed and they decided to split up, despite rumours that he was seeing someone else.
How did Kiran Rao stand up to Aamir Khan?
“Kiran and I are actually blood relatives.” However, our husband-and-wife relationship had changed, and we wanted to honour the institution of marriage. We will, however, always be by each other’s side. We are collaborating. We reside in the same neighbourhood. But, because we are no longer husband and wife, we have chosen to call it quits,” Aamir remarked in the interview.
He went on to say that the two made the major decision because of their respect and love for each other, as well as the institution of marriage. “I understand that some individuals are baffled by our equation. People find it tough to comprehend. This is because we don’t frequently see a bond like this,” Aamir reasoned.
Azad Rao Khan, Aamir and Kiran’s son, was born through surrogacy in 2011. Aamir, on the other hand, claims that the couple’s relationship has evolved, and that he’s had numerous conversations with Kiran about it, during which she has told him that “even when we discuss anything as a family, I’m always lost somewhere.” “I’m a different kind of person,” she says.
Kiran would tell Aamir that she loves his “intelligence and personality,” and that she was opposed to him changing anything about himself in order to salvage their marriage. “However, when I reflect on what Kiran told me seven years ago, I would say that in the last 6-7 months, I have witnessed a lot of changes in myself.”
Aamir also spoke on how fortunate he has been with the women in his life, praising his first wife Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Ira and Junaid. Reena has worked as a producer on numerous of Aamir’s films, including Lagaan.
In the same interview, the Bollywood superstar claimed that, according to rumours, “there was no one in my life when Reena and I got split.
” Many people believe Kiran and I met before my divorce from Reena, but this is not the case.
Kiran and I had met before, but we didn’t really get to know each other until much later.” He further stressed that his breakup with Kiran was not due to someone else’s actions. “There was no one then, and there is no one now,” says the narrator.

Shannen Doherty Calls New Cancer Treatment a ‘Miracle’
Since 2015, Shannen has been battling stage 4 breast cancer.
To say she has been brave is an understatement. And while there have been setbacks, there’s also been glimmers of hope of a full recovery.
In her latest podcast episode, Shannen sat down with her oncologist and shared the news about a new treatment that is doing wonders for her – even though it didn’t start out that way.
“I’m on a new cancer infusion,” she explained, though she declined to name which infusion treatment she tried.
She’s not here to give you medical advice, y’all. She’s here to tell her story! She added:
After four treatments, we didn’t really see a difference and everybody wanted me to switch, and I just kinda was like, ‘We’re gonna keep going with this and see.’”
That wait and see attitude was just the ticket, because after a few more treatments, her doctors saw treatment “breaking down the blood brain barrier.”
Is that a miracle? For her, the answer is very much yes!
“I can die today, I can die in 20 years.”
“That it’s actually breaking down that blood brain barrier is actually a miracle of that drug,” she added. “A miracle of maybe God intervening and saying, ‘I’m gonna give her a break.’ Sometimes you’re looking for miracles in all the wrong places and they’re right in front of your face.”
However, having the right treatment is only half the battle. No matter how you slice it, Shannen’s journey has been hard, grueling, and defeating time and time again.
The true miracle? The fact that Shannen has managed to stay positive after all she’s been through!
“Every day is a gift and there are so many new things in the works that I think hope is always there. I think it’s so important,” she says.
“Listen, I can die today, I can die in 20 years, I don’t know. I can die walking outside of my house and a tree falling on me or a bus hitting me, whatever. Or I can die of cancer. But all I can do is live each day in as much as a positive manner with hope as I can and embrace it and feel like, ‘Wow, I get to wake up again today, what can I do?’”
Sounds like you should just keep doing what you’re doing, Shannen.

“I remember when Jessa posted online (idk if she erased it). Her messy house. And how her kids are always messing it up. And idk it just made me feel that she is not truly happy,” this person continued.
“What do you [guys] think? Do you believe she and Ben are not happy in their marriage?” another poster poised to the group
“Absolutely not. Jessa, I think was the ‘prize’ in her community. I think she expected to also marry a ‘prize,’” one redditor replied, adding:
“He is effectively, another child for her to take care of. Granted I think she likes being able to control him. [Ben] won’t step up and she’ll keep treating him the way she does.”
Jessa and Ben Now: The Parent Trap?
The truth is, Jessa and Ben are still together, and more than that, they’ve just expanded their family.
The pair welcomed George Augustine Seewald on December 19th, 2023. This is their 5th child together, after already welcoming kids Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern.
So, if they are unhappy, are they perhaps sticking it out for the kids? It surely would be a huge disruption to their lives if they jumped ship.
But again, commenters suggest that had these two had a normal dating life before getting together, things would’ve been very different.
“If Jessa had been allowed to date him, screw around, and then come to the realization that ‘Yeah, he’s kinda hot…but what a f**king moron.’ She probably never would’ve married him and met someone who was actually compatible,” one person wrote on the thread.
Still, at least one person found a silver lining in the discord:
“I don’t see much love in their relationship but Jessa is safe and has complete freedom which is a lot more than most wives in these communities.”
Is Jessa Duggar Still In IBLP?
But if by “community” they mean the IBLP – aka, the nondenominational Christian fundamentalist organization Institute in Basic Life Principles – then they need to get up with the times.
Jessa revealed that she, Ben, and their children “do not” belong to IBLP in a September 2023 Instagram Story Q&A.
Furthermore, Ben currently serves as a pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Arkansas.

Tammy Slaton is flying high these days.
Sometimes, in a literal and exciting sense.
Other times, simply in the sense that she has shed HUNDREDS of pounds in the last couple of years — and while she knows her work isn’t done, she’d also like a bit more credit from social media users out there daring to cast doubt or blame.
Allow us to give you an example, okay?
On Saturday, the 1000-Lb. Sisters cast member uploaded a video on TikTok in response to a person who remarked on a recent post by telling the TLC personality:
“I hope you’re still focusing on losing weight. Looks like you’ve gained a few pounds! Not a hater, just a caring fan.”
Yikes, huh? Also: WTF?!?
This total stranger was citing footage of Slaton opening up and promoting a multitude of gifts from different small businesses supporting her journey, some of which included candy and other high-calorie snacks.
“I haven’t gained any weight,” the 37-year-old insisted via TikTok. “I have not gained any weight. It was the way the camera was angled.”
Showing impressive poise in the face of an unwarranted critique, Slaton continued:
“I get what you’re saying, but if I’m gonna help small business then I’ll let them send me candy or cookies. It’s up to me to push the candy away and not eat it.
“Y’all see that I’ve made a lot of progress and every day I still make progress.”
Seriously, you guys. Tammy Slaton has made SO, SO much progress.
She recently went on an airplane for the first time and also the beach for the first time and is accomplishing milestones she never previously believed would be possible.
Just about two years ago, she was placed in a medically-induced coma, too, following a serious health scare that prompted Tammy enter a rehab facility in Ohio.
Focusing there on her diet and exercise, Tammy eventually qualified for gastric bypass surgery, helping her drop from over 700 pounds to under 400 pounds.
“Please forgive me if I’m coming off as rude or irritated because I kind of am. Y’all don’t have faith in me,” Tammy went on in her own, well-deserved defense.
“I’ve proven myself numerous times that I can lose weight, that I am losing weight and that I’m still losing weight but y’all continue to post stuff like this and it hurts my feelings.
“Where’s the faith? Where’s the trust?”
Very good questions, in our opinion.
Slaton has often snapped back at critics over the past few months… but she managed to keep her cool in this instance.
“I appreciate y’all trying to look after me but at the same time, I’m the one that’s got to say no,” she concluded on TikTok.
“I’m the one that’s got to push it all away…the candy, the cookies, the cake. I know it’s hard to believe, but I seriously do not eat that stuff that much.
“Not anymore. I don’t even crave sugar that much.”
We could not be more proud of Tammy, especially when you consider that she lost her husband last summer and hasn’t let the grief affect her physical health.
The reality star spoke to People Magazine a short time ago about all the positive changes in her life as a result of her new lifestyle.
“Just being able to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen. I don’t even sleep with it at night anymore,” Tammy told the outlet.
“Then it was being able to fit in a regular vehicle, front seat, and then the belt buckle, and not have to use an extender now.
“So I mean, just what seems minor to some people is giant for me.”
